Nigeria’s sensational Afrobeats artist, Rema, has extended his heartfelt appreciation to fans who attended his remarkable “Ravage Uprising” concert at London’s iconic O2 Arena on Tuesday. The event, which saw a massive turnout, marked another milestone for the young artist as he successfully filled the 20,000-capacity stadium with enthusiastic supporters, including Nigerian celebrities who made the trip to witness the spectacle.
Kicking off the electrifying show, Rema made a grand entrance adorned in a mask and a striking black ensemble, mounted on a stationary horse, and launched into his latest hit, “DND.” The performance continued to captivate the audience as the “Calm Down” crooner seamlessly transitioned into a melodic rendition of “Iron Man,” accompanied by mesmerizing Indian dance choreography on either side.
The concert featured an array of Rema’s chart-topping hits, including “Dirty,” “Ginger Me,” “Addicted,” “Why,” “Dimension,” “Soundgasm,” “Fame,” “HOV,” “Trouble Maker,” “Lady,” “Don’t Leave,” “Dumebi,” “Bounce,” and “Charm,” showcasing the depth of his growing musical catalog.
A highlight of the night occurred when Rema welcomed fellow Mavin Records artists—Ayra Starr, Crayon, and Magixx—for a collaborative performance of “Won Da Mo.”
During the show, Rema took a moment to express gratitude to his fans for turning up in full force, even on a workday. He acknowledged the dedication of the London audience, saying, “I want to say a big thank you for each and every one of you coming here tonight. London, I want to say you have a big place in my heart, I am very grateful for you all coming on a workday to see Rema regardless. I am grateful, it’s not easy to spend your hard-earned money to get my ticket. Thank you so much for standing beside me. I am truly grateful.”
Rema now joins the ranks of acclaimed Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake, who have successfully sold out the prestigious O2 Arena, solidifying his status as a rising star in the global music scene.
